ABOUT
Hi, I am your Creative Generalist who loves to bring people together, dive into complex problems, think along with you strategically, and inspire others to lead from the heart - at all times
After a corporate career and a burn-out, I started my own business and moved (in)to a new life(style) in the south of Europe.
With The Lucky Project I basically combine all that I love and am good at. It took me a while to realize that I don’t have to squeeze myself into one particular box. I simply love particular elements of every part of my story and my CV.
Whether that it is creating expansive spaces for (female) entrepreneurs, diving into complex business challenges, analyzing and assessing risks, integrating a financial, strategic and people perspective to problem-solving, and/or approaching and managing change in an effective and sustainable way.
I love to be intellectually challenged and enjoy collaborating closely with entrepreneurs, companies and teams to find solutions that support growth, authenticity, and impact. I need variety in my day-to-day (work)life and having a sense of purpose is non-negotionable.
My background includes experience in risk management consulting, change management, mentoring, project management and strategic thinking, along with a Bachelor in Business Administration, a Master in People & Change Management, and an Executive Master in Finance & Control (‘RC’ for the Dutchies amongst us).
My leadership skills are based on this foundation, and enable me to bring a holistic view, be adaptable to change, offer creative solutions to problems, while always having the interest of people at heart. Oh, and I love being in multicultural / multi-language environments.
The Lucky Project.
The reason I decided to call my business ‘The Lucky Project’ is threefold:
1. Lucky:
As you might have figured out by now. my second name is Lucky.
2. [Project]:
Noun /ˈprɒdʒɛkt/: [a piece of planned work or an activity that is finished over a period of time and intended to achieve a particular purpose] (Cambridge dictionary)
I believe we are all masterpieces in progress and that we are here with specific strengths, a mission and purpose. With that in mind, I look upon life and the work we do as a ‘project’.
3. The Lucky Project:
When I started my personal burnout coaching sessions, my coach asked me to name my journey. Almost instantly I thought of the name: ‘The Lucky Project’. Though I am officially registered under the name ‘Grace Lucky Janssen’, The Lucky Project remains to be the umbrella of my business and my daily reminder of all that I create from my core, my heart, my being: Grace Lucky Janssen.
So basically…it’s all in the name.
On paper.
Though I am not a big fan of introducing myself by means of my CV, I do believe it explains where I am coming from.
Thus:
x No, I am not my CV, titles nor background.
